Design the lights. Sync the music. Build your future.
LightLab
Step behind the scenes at The Providence Rink and learn how to make the magic happen!
In this 4-week hands-on workshop, high school and college students will explore how lighting transforms live events — and get real experience programming light shows using ESA Pro 2, the same software used by lighting professionals.
You’ll work with the rink’s actual lighting system, learn from local pros, and design your own short light show synced to music.
If you’re into music, tech, art, or events, this is your chance to blend all of it.
You’ll create something real, meet creative people, and see your work light up a space where thousands skate every winter.
No experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn!
